New Mexico, Pt II - Sites & Bites…. Now that our internal compass has been set to “New Mexico mode”, we are ready to jump in the car for the longest stretch of the road trip. Heading south to visit the White Sands National Monument, we arrive just in time for sunset. We chose the town of Alamogordo for our overnight stay in order to get an early morning start. On our return to Santa Fe we managed to fit in some kitschy & cool stops along the way. Did someone say, road trip?!?!

Jackson Hole, Wyoming.... it's not just a ski destination.  I'm not much of a skier but I've discovered that you shouldn't rule out popular ski destinations during spring & summer.  In my opinion, they are just as beautiful (if not more) during the warmer months.  I visited Jackson Hole during Labor Day weekend 2007 and it truly took my breath away.  I had a basic point and shoot camera on this trip and was able to capture some amazing shots.  It's not hard with that amount of natural beauty surrounding you.
